I started my media career as a publicist for Forbes Magazine, where I learned how to execute large scale events and programming, including for marquee events like the Forbes Billionaire List, Forbes 30 Under 30 List and the Forbes 400 List.

Now, as a journalist with tv and radio experience, I moderate and program large international conferences and smaller, community-focused events. My topics include climate, marine geoengineering, ocean and food systems (aquaculture, fisheries, terrestrial). Please contact actalty@gmail.com for additional booking information.

I am an experienced conference moderator with a background in large international events including the following:

  • Host and programmer for ForbesAg Tech Forum “Next Generation of Ag Leaders” in Indianapolis, USA, 2019.

  • Panel member at University of Michigan’s “Sustainability and Food” Summit, in Ann Arbor, USA, 2023

  • Panelist for Global Investigative Journalism Network “How to Use Ocean Data for Journalism", online in March 2024.

  • Host and content planner for Southampton Arts Centers EARTH AS ACTIVIST, panels including “Living Soil” and “East End Water Quality Report,” New York, 2021.

  • Panel member at “The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), Sounds of the Ocean and Rainforest: Combining Environmental Journalism and Investigative Tools”, online, October 2024.

  • Host of Travel Con’s “Travel and Media” panel in Boston, USA, 2019

  • Moderator at StepFeed Conference in Dubai, UAE 2019

  • Moderator at StepFeed Conference in Dubai, UAE 2016

From 2023-2024, I was Burroughs Wellcome Fellowship in Climate & Health Communications and Research at University of Massachusetts at Boston where I co-created and co-hosted a series of online talks on how scientists can better communicate with journalists for graduate students and faculty.

Specific topics that I can moderate and program around include climate change and the ocean, aquaculture, seaweed farming, marine geoengineering, rising ocean acidification and the effect on fisheries and sealife, micro plastic pollution, endangered fisheries and climate change's effect on food production (land, ocean).
